Frequently Asked Questions
How does the passing system work at the Vocational School?
Our Vocational School applies a 4.0 grading system. To graduate, students must complete 120 credits, have a minimum GPA of 2.00, and must not have any FF or DZ grades.
What is the attendance requirement?
All our programs require at least 70% attendance. If you have more than 30% absenteeism in a course during the semester, you will fail that course due to attendance. The student must retake any course failed due to absenteeism.
Is a medical report valid?
Medical reports are not valid during the semester but are accepted during exam periods. To take a make-up exam, you must submit a document proving your excuse, along with a petition, within 3 business days after the end of exams.
What is an academic advisor and how can I find mine?
The purpose of academic advising is to guide students in adapting to university life, professional development, and career planning; to monitor their academic progress; to inform students about course registration each semester (including summer school); and to approve courses students need to take based on their academic status.
You can find your academic advisor via the Student Information System.

You can renew your registration and register for courses during the dates specified in the academic calendar.
What should I do for registration renewal and course registration?
First, check if you have any payments due via ÖGRBİLSİS and pay the required amount at the designated bank. Then, confirm your registration via ÖGRBİLSİS. After that, you can start selecting courses. After getting your academic advisor's approval, your course registration will be complete. You should print your course schedule and have your advisor sign it.
My courses overlap. Can I take both?
No. All programs require 70% attendance, so you cannot take two overlapping courses. You should first retake any failed courses.
Can I retake a course to improve my grade?
Yes. During registration renewal week, you can submit a Grade Improvement Petition to your advisor and register for the course again. However, if your new grade is lower, the most recent grade will count.
I want to withdraw from a course. What should I do?
You can withdraw by submitting a Course Withdrawal Petition within three weeks from the start of classes. You must also get approval from your advisor.

This is the process of matching equivalent courses you successfully completed at other institutions to courses required at our school for exemption. Keep the documents provided after the equivalency process and select your courses accordingly.
